At Suncoast Skips, environmental responsibility is at the forefront of what we do. In fitting with this ethos, we became the first waste removal company on the Sunshine Coast to invest in a state-of-the-art resource recovery centre. Not content with helping remove waste from construction, demolition and clean-up sites; we wanted to help repurpose what materials we could to reduce our impact on the environment. With this investment, we have greater control over where our waste ends up! Our goal is to divert as much of what we remove from projects sites into recycling and away from landfill. Saving Over 70% From Landfill
Since setting up our resource recovery centre, we’ve become increasingly efficient at sorting materials and keeping them out of landfill. To give you an indication, over 70% of the materials we currently receive are made available for reuse rather than ending up in landfill.
Our sorting system includes a series of conveyor belts, bins, excavators and more. Our facility has become so well renowned on the Sunshine Coast for its size and efficiency that other waste removal companies have begun using our service.
